This writing is to confirm that Haruna Achor Christopher was appointed on January 21, 2019 as Kogi State Coordinator of Boys Mentoring Advocacy Network (BMAN).
BMAN, a registered NGO providing mentoring and advocacy platform designed to help our young boys (8-19years) avoid the many challenges arising out of aimlessness and lack of proper values. In the past year alone, BMAN has mentored 25000 Nigerian Secondary School students on such lofty values as Responsibility, Commitment, Possibility and Support system. One of the vehicles used for this training is a legendary book titled, “As A Man Thinketh”, which BMAN has taken the initiatives to translate into leading African languages like French, Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba for free distribution.
Furthermore, BMAN has made efforts to ensure that tens of thousands of Radio listeners benefit from this inspiring book by partnering with several leading Nigerian Radio stations for periodic broadcast in the 4 languages mentioned earlier.
BMAN programs have been well-received by Trailblazers (Young boys and male adolescents still in school) and their parents alike. Haruna Achor Christopher is working with other coordinators across Nigeria and Africa to ensure that BMAN become successfully.
BMAN has established a strong tie with organizations in the US which include the Boys 2 Men Mentoring Network USA, The Ever Forward Club USA, Global Fatherhood Foundation USA, Careerbridge Foundation USA, Gentlemen Society USA and a registered international affiliate of Fathers and Families coalition of America.
